Ekphrastic PoetryFind a painting to observe. Answer the following:
Blackout or Redacted PoetryRedacted or Blackout Poetry
-Select one of the photocopied sheets of text or choose your favorite book! -Skim through the poem and LIGHTLY circle or underline words that stand out and could be a poem on their own. -Work in order--don’t skip around. -Once you have a final poem, use a dark marker or crayon to create your original Blackout Poem. -Illustrate the remaining space in a way that supports your poem’s theme. Note: Case sensitive and this is the capital letter “i” (I)--don’t use a lower case i to start a sentence! |
